SOUTHLAKE, Texas – The St. Gregory's women's swim team completed competition in the SCAC Western Shootout this weekend with several athletes at or near personal bests. It was the final meet of the semester for the Cavaliers.

Kaitlin Hampton, a sophomore from Shawnee, finished 25th in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:00.44. That was about two seconds slower than the "B" national qualifying standard. She came in at 1:12.28 in the 100-yard backstroke – good for 26th overall.

Fellow sophomore and Shawnee native Erica Heon posted a 16th-place finish in the 100-yard breastroke with a time of 1:25.52. Freshman Ashley Haan finished the 100-yard freestyle in 1:19.57 (43rd).

St. Gregory's doesn't resume competition until January 9 at Austin College.
