OKLAHOMA CITY – Eight St. Gregory's University swimmers will make program history this week by embarking on the school's first-ever trip to the NAIA Swimming & Diving National Championships at the Oklahoma City Community College Natatorium in Oklahoma City.
The event will close the Cavaliers' inaugural season competing in the sport. Preliminaries begin Thursday, Friday and Saturday each morning at 10 a.m. and finals conclude each evening at 6 p.m.
Garrett Thompson, Austin Cody, Jason Schroeder, Gabriel Sanchez, Joseph Brasher, Timothy Hyland and Mark Roselius all qualified for nationals based on their times throughout the season. Michael Heon will serve as St. Gregory's relay alternate.
In all, 19 institutions and 199 athletes will be competing for the 2015 NAIA Men's Swimming & Diving National Championship. Fans can follow the action live here: http://portal.stretchinternet.com/naia/
