EDMOND – Several personal and school records went down Saturday at Mitch Park, as St. Gregory's swim team finished the regular season strong at the Great Plains Invitational.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • In the 50 free, both Erica Heon (26.40) and Kaitlin Hampton (26.50) hit national "B" cuts. Those times were also personal records. The pair set new personal bests in the 100 free as well – Heon coming in at 29.38 and Hampton finishing in 59.65.
  • Madison York bettered her "B" standard time in the 100 free with a time of 57.84.
  • Jason Schroeder's 51.34 in the 100 fly was a school record. It currently ranks seventh in the NAIA.
  • Austin Cody finished second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:07.
  • Leslie Alvarez came in at 6:54 in the 500 free – a season-best time.

Other school records:

  • Garrett Thompson: 21.68 in the 50 free, 48.74 in the 100 free
  • Madison York: 57.84 in the 100 free, 1:07.84 in the 100 back, 1:06.73 in the 100 fly, 2:29.03 in the 200 IM
  • Shannon Jordan: 6:23.75 in the 500 free
  • Men's 200 medley relay: 1:38.31

Several St. Gregory's national qualifiers will travel to the NAIA National Meet March 2-5. That event will be hosted in Columbus, Ga.
