OKLAHOMA CITY – St. Gregory's cheer team finished fourth out of 11 teams at Saturday's NAIA South Qualifying Group Cheerleading Championship. The event was held at Oklahoma City University's Abe Lemons Arena.

The Cavaliers were in third after a preliminary round score of 87.02 but dropped a spot after turning in an 86.07 in the finals. OCU won the event with a score of 92.90 in the finals.

Pending the results of three other qualifying groups throughout the country, the Cavs will now wait to see if they've earned one of eight at-large bids to the NAIA Competitive Cheer & Dance Invitational in March. All other qualifiers are scheduled to be completed by next Saturday.
