WINFIELD, Kan. – A pair of event wins and several top 10 finishes highlighted the action Thursday for St. Gregory's at the Southwestern Invitational. It was the first outdoor meet of the season for the Cavaliers.

  • Robert Torres won the 1,500 with a school-record 3:59.53. He beat out 70 other participants in the event.
  • Alexis Gee won the 10K with a time of 43:08.59.
  • The men's 4x400 relay placed second after posting a time of 3:22.90.
  • Sabrina DeSantiago finished third out of 50 competitors in the 1,500 with a time of 4:53.58. She came in at 18:57.08 in the 5K to place seventh.
  • Anthony Watkins was fourth out of 24 in the 110 hurdles (15.33).
  • Quintin Powell broke the top 5 in the 400 with a time of 48.96.
  • Ben Dodson was seventh out of 24 in the 400 hurdles (56.97).
  • Blake Crouch finished seventh in the 10K with a time of 34:53.95.
  • Holly Anderson finished eighth in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.83.
  • Edgar Villarreal was eighth in the hammer throw with a toss of 41.03 meters.
  • Tyler Farris was 12th out of 40 in the 200, coming in at 23.01.
  • Both Dustin Baxter (4:18.50) and Mohamed Bassime (4:18.68) set personal records in the 1,500. Jose Fonseca PR'd in his 1,500 heat.

St. Gregory's returns to action March 26 at the Oklahoma Baptist Open in Shawnee.
