SHAWNEE – St. Gregory's posted several top 10 finishes this weekend at the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational, hosted at the Eddie Hurt, Jr. Memorial Track Complex on the OBU campus.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Ben Dodson finished fourth in the 400 hurdles, coming in at 57.26.
  • Quintin Powell was fourth in the 400 with a time of 48.90.
  • Edgar Villarreal placed fifth in the hammer with a toss of 36.58 meters.
  • Anthony Watkins was fifth (35.28m), and Jerrit Moore was sixth (33.79m) in the javelin.
  • Holly Anderson turned in a distance of 25.00 meters in the javelin – good for sixth. She was eighth in the 100 hurdles, coming in at 16.66.
  • Watkins placed seventh with a time of 15.19 in the 110 hurdles.
  • Sara Cusick was eighth in the hammer with a throw of 40.09 meters.
  • Robert Torres finished eighth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:05.12.
  • Mohamed Bassime set a new personal record with a time of 1:59.71 in the 800. That was good for 11th overall.
  • Shannah Daymude's 28.32 in the 200 was a PR as was Tyler Farris' 22.46 in the same event.

St. Gregory's is back in action April 8-9 at the Friends Invitational in Wichita, Kan.
