WINFIELD, Kan. – Two school records fell Saturday as St. Gregory's competed in the 55th annual Southwestern College Relays in Winfield, Kan.

Both records came in field events – Austin Stone tossed 40.48 meters in the discus to tie for fifth overall, and Taylor McKenzie's throw of 40.83 meters in the javelin was good for ninth.

Personal records were achieved as well. Mohamed Bassime set a PR and finished fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:00. Adrianna Garza had personal-bests in both the 200 (31.70) and 400 (1:11.93). Ben Dodson's 56.36 in the 400 hurdles also was a personal record, placing him fourth among his competitors.

Holly Anderson came in at 1:17.18 in the 400 hurdles – a season best.

Other highlights include a runner-up finish by Quintin Powell in the 400 (48.81), a third-place finish by Sara Cuzick in the hammer (45.70), and a fifth-place finish by Robert Torres in the 1,500-meter run (4:06.70).

St. Gregory's travels to Lubbock, Texas, for the Masked Rider Open next weekend.
