SHAWNEE – St. Gregory's University lacrosse player Garrett Bannister has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 team as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Bannister was selected in the college division, which includes NAIA, Canadian and two-year schools. District 4 includes schools in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wyoming and Canada.
A sophomore from Yukon, Bannister averaged 2.7 ground balls per game in helping St. Gregory's to a 14-5 record and a postseason appearance. He scored one goal and three assists from his defender position during the 2016 season. Bannister has a 3.85 GPA while majoring in theology.
