OKLAHOMA CITY – The St. Gregory's women's golf team had a record-setting Wednesday at the SCU Fall Intercollegiate. The Cavaliers fired a final-round 327 to set a new program record and finish fifth overall. The tournament was hosted at Hefner Golf Course's 5,969-yard layout in Oklahoma City.

Leading the charge was senior Alexis Tallant, whose final-round 79 was an event-best among her teammates. Tallant finished tied for seventh overall with a two-day total of 162.

Taylor Greteman got into the top 15 with an 80 on Wednesday – five shots better than her first round. Rylie Eller was steady, shooting a pair of 84s to finish tied for 22nd. Freshman Carina Hernandez was solid in her first collegiate tournament with a two-round total of 169 – good for 25th.

Megan Buchanan also had two rounds in the 80s (82-89) to finish tied for 27th.

Host Southwestern Christian (637) won the tournament in a playoff. Murray State's Bethany Acey took home top medalist honors after shooting 72-70.

St. Gregory's returns to action September 12-13 at the Texas Intercollegiate. That tournament will be hosted at Ft. Worth's Hawks Creek.
