TOURNAMENT NOTES

• This is the second-annual SGU Cavalier Classic. St. Gregory's won the inaugural event with a team score of 579. All five Cavalier individuals cracked the top 5.
• In addition to SGU, six other teams will make up the field – Mid-America Christian, Panhandle State, Bellevue (Neb.), Oklahoma Wesleyan, Texas-Dallas and Kansas Wesleyan.
• St. Gregory's is coming off a third-place finish at the SCU Intercollegiate. Freshman Braden Ricks, who finished seventh overall, carded a two-round 149.
• In addition to its win at the SGU Cavalier Classic, the Cavs also won the Central Baptist Spring Invitational last season. SGU finished the year ranked No. 28 in the NAIA and received votes in the preseason coaches' poll for 2016-17.
