SHAWNEE – Wayland Baptist controlled the offensive possession in a 4-0 win over St. Gregory's Tuesday afternoon at Fr. Victor Roberts Field. The Pioneers have won their last five games, sending the Cavaliers to their fifth straight defeat.

The Pioneers (7-3-1, 3-0 SAC) scored two in each half – boasting a 29-3 shot advantage for the game. Taval Whittaker and Guillermo Deal connected on goals in the opening frame, while Emmanuel Emmas and Raheem Fleming put it away with a pair of second-half scores. Matthew Lowndes assisted on two goals.

Gabriel Martinez was responsible for two of SGU's three attempts – including its lone on-target shot. Adrian Cole turned in the ninth double-digit save effort of his career, finishing with a game-high 11.

St. Gregory's (4-6, 0-3 SAC) travels to John Brown (Ark.) Saturday. Game time is set for 3 p.m. in Siloam Springs.
