CONWAY, Ark. – St. Gregory's swim teams hit three more standards Saturday at the Hendrix Classic in Conway, Ark. The men's squad placed sixth overall, while the women's team came in seventh.
The women's 400 medley relay team (Lexi Peery, Kaelyn Carter, Kaitlin Hampton, Madison York) finished 10th after posting a national standard time of 4:42.34. The men's team (Charles Espinosa, Austin Cody, Jason Schroeder, Michael Heon) also came in just under the standard (3:55.97), placing eighth overall.
The women's 400 freestyle relay team (Lexi Peery, Madison York, Kaelyn Carter, Kaitlin Hampton) came in seventh – just outside the qualifying standard at 4:13.17. The men's team (Jason Schroeder, Michael Heon, Jeffrey Trout, Charles Espinosa) also just missed the qualifying mark at 3:30.52. They finished eighth overall.
Jason Schroeder placed seventh in the 50 free with a time of 22.58, which was .03 inside the national standard.
Kaleb Hatton was sixth in one-meter diving event with a total of 136.70.
Lexi Peery came in eighth in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 12:20.51. Leslie Alvarez was 11th (14:10.38).
Kaitlin Hampton posted a time of 27.33 in the 50 free – placing 11th out of 31 competitors. Kaelyn Carter finished 11th in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:37.63.
St. Gregory's returns to action November 12 at Austin College.
