The Cavalier volleyball team made history Tuesday night as they won their first ever set against Oklahoma City University, however lost the match three sets to one.  The loss was the only the second setback of the season for the Cavaliers and their first one in SAC conference play.

During the first three sets the Cavaliers fought hard and were able to hold a slim lead in each of these three sets.  The Cavaliers lost the first two sets by the scores of 25-18 and 25-21.

The third set was the the one that the Cavaliers would come out on top as they bested the Stars by the score of 25-22.  During this set the Cavaliers had their highest kill total for a single set during the match as they recorded 11 kills during the set.

For the match seven different Cavaliers collected kills, led by Morgan Brown and Joey Redwine, who each pounded down 8 kills.  Assisting on all but one of the teams 32 kills on the night was Aminah Ordenz and Joey Redwine.  Ordenz ended the match with 13 assists and Redwine had 17 of her own.

The Cavaliers will be back in action at home next Tuesday night, when they will take on conference opponent Mid America Christian University.  Meanwhile, the Cavaliers will travel to Houston this weekend to play two non-conference games.
