A pair of St. Gregory's University freshmen stole the show Tuesday at Father Victor Roberts Field, each posting a hat trick in the Cavaliers' 9-0 win over Bacone College. Mark McGrath, from Ireland, and Arturo Flores, from Madill, each scored three goals as SGU cruised to its second consecutive win.

The Cavaliers (3-3) outshot the Warriors 10-4 in racing out to a 3-0 halftime advantage. Flores posted his second goal just seven minutes into the second half, and junior forward Stephen Cummins put the game out of reach in the 67th minute to make it a five-goal advantage.

"We looked pretty good, and we passed the ball well," said Cummins, who leads the team with four goals this season. "I think we're starting to click at the right time with conference play beginning next week. This win definitely gives us something to build on."

McGrath posted two of his three goals in a three-minute stretch midway through the second half. Flores completed his hat trick in the 88th minute. SGU outshot the visitors 17-1 in the second half. Cummins, Joel Petillon, Jason Swift and Luke Keogh all chipped in with one assist each.

The Cavaliers return to action Friday at Tabor College. They return home next Tuesday to face No. 11-ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan. That game is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.
