The St. Gregory's University women's soccer team was outshot 11-1 in the first half and subsequently fell behind early in a 4-1 loss at Tabor College on Friday night.
Tabor got two goals in a two-minute span midway through the first half, then added another just before halftime to take a commanding 3-0 lead. SGU freshman Holly Blackwell cut it to 3-1in the 58th minute, but the Bluejays responded four minutes later when Jessica Renzelman completed a hat trick with her third goal on the night.
Senior Jennifer Taber was active in goal, posting eight saves on the night. Blackwell led the attack with two shots, while Sarah Cochlin, Emily Lee and Chloe Murphy had one shot each.
SGU (0-6-1) returns to action Tuesday at Fr. Victor Roberts Field against Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
