POTTSBORO, Texas- On Monday and Tuesday, the Cavaliers women's golf team competed at the Lion Invitational in Pottsboro, Texas at the Tanglewood Golf Club. The Cavs finished in fourteenth place out of 16 teams. As a team, SGU finished +185 shots over par, with a total of 761 strokes. On Monday there were very strong winds, that caused many athletes in the tournament to shoot unusually high scores. Rylie Eller (SO/Woodward, Okla.) posted the best score for the Cavs with a finish at 38 over par, with a total of 182 strokes.
The Cavaliers will be back in action on April 3 and 4, when they host the SGU Cavalier Classic, right here in Shawnee, at the Shawnee Country Club.
