POTTSBORO, Texas- The Cavalier men's golf team was back in action Monday and Tuesday at the Lion Invite at Tanglewood hosted by Texas A&M Commerce, finishing the tournament in 14th place.
Firm course conditions and wind were a factor for all competitors at the Par 72, 6,536 yard layout with only one player in the field shooting a score of par or better for the tournament.
Rickey Hong (SO/Choctaw, Okla.) and Braden Ricks (FR/Shawnee, Okla.) led the Cavaliers for the tournament with Matias Nelson (FR/Mustang, Okla.) not far behind. The Cavaliers combined for a total of 16 birdies for the 36 hole tournament.
The men will be in action next at the SGU Spring Cavalier Classic at Shawnee Country Club on April 4th and 5th.
