SHAWNEE- The Cavaliers track and field teams competed at the Oklahoma Baptist Open on Saturday afternoon, and several Cavs set new personal records.
The highlight of the afternoon for St. Gregory's was when Teresa Ambuul (FR/Colorado Springs, Colo.) (FR/Colorado Springs, Colo.) set a new school record in the 400 meter hurdles. Sophia Weisbruch (SO/Temple, Texas) (SO/Temple, Texas), Kathleen Joyce (FR/Edmond, Okla.) (FR/Edmond, Okla.), and Alexas Vargas (FR/Terrell, Texas) (FR/Terrell, Texas) each set new personal records in the women's 1500 meter run. Teagan Dreyer (FR/Okmulgee, Okla.) (FR/Okmulgee, Okla.) and Darian Hargis (FR/Burns Flat, Okla.) (FR/Burns Flat, Okla.) also set new personal records in the 1500 meter run.
Christian Arbuthnot (FR/Goodwell, Okla.) set a new personal record in the 5000 meter run. Jose DeOchoa (FR/Mission, Texas) and Blake Crouch (JR/Edmond, Okla.) also ran great in the 5000 meter run. Jose DeOchoa and Matt Leedy (FR/Midwest City, Okla.) both set new personal records in the 1500 meter run.
St. Gregory's will be back on the track on April 1 for the Emporia State University Relays.
