The St. Gregory's Women's Golf Team posted its best finish of the season at home this week at the SGU Spring Cavalier Classic, finishing 2nd at Shawnee Country Club.
Taylor Greteman (SR/Moore, Okla.) led the way for the ladies with scores of 84, 80 to finish 6th, just six strokes back of the individual champion. Rylie Eller (SO/Woodward, Okla.) had a top-10 finish as well shooting scores of 85, 86 to finish 9th. The scoring for the Cavs was rounded out by Carina Hernandez (FR/Mission, Texas) (14th), Alexis Tallant (SR/Ft. Worth, Texas) (T15), and Megan Buchanan (JR/Antlers, Okla.) (32nd).
The women shot a first round score of 347 to trail tournament leader Southwestern Christian by just one stroke heading into day two. The ladies weren't able to overcome the deficit on day two after a round of 355 and finished 2nd in the tournament, their best finish of the year.
The women will be back in action April 10th and 11th at the Virginia McCoy Intercollegiate hosted by Park University at The Deuce at The National Golf Club in Kansas City, MO.
