STILLWATER - St. Gregory's University freshman Dontayveous Allen paced all Cavalier runners on Saturday with a time of 28:47.91 at the Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater. Allen, from Longview, Texas, finished 86th out of 206 runners on the 8,000-meter course.

As a team, SGU finished 20th out of 22 teams. Hosea Maritim was 105th overall with a time of 29:09.60, followed by Gustavo Escobar (29:51.84), Grayson Ceballos (30:36.46) and Dawson Holt (40:06.83).

"Today was a tough day for us," said SGU coach Matt Aguero. "This is always a tough course to run fast times on."

SGU returns to action October 6 at the OBU Bison Invitational in Shawnee.
