SHAWNEE- The NAIA has announced their selections for men and women's NAIA Track & Field Scholar-Athletes, and the Cavs have landed a total of 7 athletes on the list. Five women made the cut, and two of the Cavs men met the requirements as well. On the women's side, Alexis McElvany (SR/Moore, Okla.) (SR/Moore, Okla.), Shannah Daymude (SR/Gainesville, Texas) (SR/Gainesville, Texas), Haley Gee (SR/Oklahoma City, Okla.) (SR/Oklahoma City, Okla.), Holly Anderson (JR/Alex, Okla.) (JR/Alex, Okla.), and Sabrina DeSantiago (JR/Lubbock, Texas) (JR/Lubbock, Texas) were named scholar-athletes, while Robert Torres (SR/Salinas, Calif.) and Austin Stone (SR/Moore, Okla.) met the requirements for the men. To qualify for the recognition, each athlete must have a 3.5 GPA or higher, on the 4.0 scale. Congrats to these excellent Cavalier student-athletes!
