SHAWNEE (Oct. 6, 2012) - St. Gregory's University freshman Dominick Cabada led all Cavalier runners Saturday, posting an 11th place finish at the Bison Invitational. Cabada, from Boulder, Colo., finished the 8,000-meter course in 25:50. As a team, SGU finished seventh overall.
"Dominick ran an outstanding race for the men," said SGU coach Matt Aguero. "As a team, we continue to improve each week."
More than 100 runners competed in the event, which is hosted by Oklahoma Baptist University at the Gordon Cooper Technology Center. Finishing second among SGU runners was Hosea Maritim (27:13), followed by Dontayveous Allen (27:49), Gustavo Escobar (27:58) and Grayson Ceballos (29:06).
SGU returns to action October 20 at the NAIA Mid-States Classic in Winfield, Kan.
