SHAWNEE (Oct. 6, 2012) - The St. Gregory's University women's cross country team posted an eighth-place finish Saturday at the Bison Invitational. The Cavaliers were once again led by senior Monika Kalicinska, who finished 20th out of 101 runners. Kalicinska ran the 5,000-meter course in 19:34.

"As a whole the women's team ran very well," said SGU coach Matt Aguero. "I have been impressed with the way they continue to improve at each meet."

The Bison Invitational is hosted by Oklahoma Baptist University at Gordon Cooper Technology Center. SGU runners Felicia Kuse (21:11) and Callie Pacheco (21:16) both finished in the top 50. Freshman Jazmin Gonzalez posted a time of 21:48 and senior Michaela Roe finished in 27:13.

SGU returns to action October 20 at the NAIA Mid-States Classic in Winfield, Kan.
