The Cavalier volleyball team traveled to Oklahoma City Tuesday evening and defeated the Evangels of Mid America Christian in three straight sets for their first conference win of the season.  The Cavs defeated the Evangels by the scores of 25-22, 25-22 and 26-24.

The win avenges an earlier loss in conference play that MACU put on the Cavaliers at home back on September 18th.

St. Gregory's was led at the net by senior Kimmy Seiler with her season high 14 kills.  Seiler also ended the match with 13 digs and 4 service aces. Helping out Seiler at the net was sophomore Tiphani Funk with her 12 kills and junior Ashley Williams, who ended the match with 10 kills.

Joey Redwine and Aminah Orozco their fellow teammates all night as they ended the match with 19  and 16 assists each.

With the win the Cavs move to 11-9 overall and 1-6 in conference play.  Next up for the Cavaliers is a home match this Saturday afternoon against non-conference opponent Kansas Wesleyan with the first serve scheduled for 3 p.m.  This is a re-match of an earlier match that was play at KWU in which the Cavaliers dropped in three sets.
