St. Gregory's University women's soccer players Jennifer Alesch and Holly Blackwell were named to the second team All-Sooner Athletic Conference Team, it was announced Monday.

Alesch, a senior forward from Mustang, led the Cavalier attack this season with 31 shots, including 10 on goal. She also scored two goals and recorded one assist. Alesch started 15 games in 2012.

"Jen is one of the best players in the conference and it was nice to see her recognized," Riley said.

Blackwell, a freshman defender from Edmond, started 16 games for the Cavs. She scored one goal on 10 shots. Blackwell recorded four shots on goal in 2012.

"Holly made a huge impact for us and was very consistent throughout the season," Riley said. "As a freshman, it's great recognition and something I hope she can continue to achieve over the next three years."
