GENEVA, Ohio – St. Gregory's University senior Monika Kalicinska came in at 18:43.74 in the 5,000-meter run Thursday at the at the 2013 NAIA Men's & Women's Indoor Track & Field National Championships in Geneva, Ohio. Her time was not good enough to advance to the finals, ending her indoor season. Kalicinska finished 11th in her heat.

Kalicinska, from Poland, earned her spot at nationals by turning in a season-best time of 18:26.01 at the Nebraska Tune-Up on Feb. 16, meeting a "B" qualifying standard. She qualified for cross country nationals in the fall.

The outdoor season begins March 16 at the Southwestern Kansas Invitational in Winfield, Kan.
