SHAWNEE – For the third consecutive year, St. Gregory's University men's basketball player Fayzon Richey has been named an honorable mention NAIA All-American. Richey, who recently completed his SGU career as the school's all-time leading scorer, was one of 49 players in Division I to make the honorable mention list.

"Fayzon is very deserving of this honor," said SGU coach John Martin. "He's a great basketball player and an incredible individual. It couldn't have happened to a better guy."

Richey, a senior from El Reno, finished second in the conference and seventh in the NAIA with a 20.7 scoring average this season. He had 2,246 points for his career, passing the 500-point mark three times in four seasons. Richey led the team in scoring, steals, blocks and rebounds this year.

He adds this honor to a list of athletic achievements that includes Sooner Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year, All-SAC honorable mention and three-time All-SAC second team.
