ARLINGTON, Texas – Anthony Watkins and Dominic Cabada each turned in top 10 finishes Saturday at the UTA Bobby Lane Invitational. However, no SGU athletes earned a national qualifying standard on the day.

Watkins, a freshman from Kileen, Texas, placed eighth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.24. That finish was just slightly slower than the "B" standard of 15.00. Cabada, who recently completed his indoor season with a trip to nationals, was 10th in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:04.44.

SGU's 1600-meter relay team of Corey Lulko, Christian Hammers, Dontayveous Allen and Kaleb Mendenhall also placed in the top 10. Their time of 3:27.19 was good enough for seventh overall.

The team will travel down the road to the Oklahoma Baptist University Open on Saturday.
