SHAWNEE – St. Gregory's University baseball player Ben Moore has been named the Sooner Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for April 8-14. Moore, a junior from Jenks, threw a complete-game, extra-inning shutout Friday in the Cavaliers' 1-0 win over USAO.

He had a career-high 10 strikeouts in the game, scattering five hits with only one walk in eight innings pitched. Moore has gone the distance in eight of his 10 starts this season.

The Cavaliers return to action Tuesday at No. 24-ranked Bacone College. That game is scheduled for 3 p.m.
