SHAWNEE – Monika Kalicinska and Patrice Williams won their respective events Saturday at the Sooner Athletic Conference Classic. No national qualifying standards were met at the meet, which was held on the campus of Oklahoma Baptist University.

Kalicinska, a senior from Poland, was tops in the 5,000-meter run, coming in with a time of 18:40.90. Williams, a freshman from Houston, took the long jump with a distance of 5.47 meters. Earlier this season, Williams met a "B" standard in the event.

Other top 5 finishers included Keerah Walton in the shot put (11.46 meters, 4th) and Domonique Criddle in the discus throw (33.69 meters, 5th).

SGU returns to action Thursday at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa. The team heads to Joplin, Mo., Saturday for the MSSU Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Open Invitational.
