SHAWNEE – St. Gregory's University volleyball coach Katrina English recently announced the signing of 13 athletes for the 2013 season. The newcomers will join eight returning players from last season. The Cavaliers' 12 wins in 2012 is a program record and nearly double the total of any previous SGU squad.

English commented on each of her signees:

Megan Dando: "Megan is a big-time player and blocker. She will make an immediate impact to the squad."

Brooke Walford: "Brooke will help our team tremendously with offering other offensive approaches."

Rachel Lucas: "Rachel has great hands and good court awareness. She will bring a lot of consistency to the court."

Dominique Green: "Dominique is a true athlete and brings a lot of power to the court."

Jazmine Williams: "Jazmine brings us a lot of versatility. She can play multiple positions well, and I look forward to her having a breakout season."

Shannon Howard: "Shannon is a natural, dynamic middle. She will bring a lot of speed and power to the court."

Sarah Glessin: "Sarah is a very consistent player. She is very focused on the game and will provide us with a lot of stability."

Cierra Mullins: "A true hitter…Cierra will give me a lot of options this coming season and provide a steady attack."

Tkeeyah Hall: "TK is a great athlete and has undeniable court awareness. She will provide us with a stronger backcourt defense."

Kaisha Peters: "Kaisha is a big volleyball player in a small body. Her jumping ability and shot selection is commendable."

Tierra Harris: "Tierra Harris is a true athlete with a lot of potential."

Sierra Beauford: "Sierra has the heart for the game. Her passion will guide her in many seasons to come."
