Men's Track & Field - Sun, Apr. 13, 2014

Several St. Gregory's men's track athletes had solid weekends at the K.T. Woodman Classic in Kansas and the Hardin-Simmons Invitational in Texas.

Anthony Watkins led the way, bettering his previous B mark in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.70 in the prelims and 14.79 in the finals at the Kansas meet. That finish was good enough for sixth place overall at the event. His prelim time is 11th-best in the NAIA this season.

Ben Dodson also shined at the Woodman Classic, turning in his best time in the 200 at 23.05 in the finals.

Robert Torres and Abe Conley placed 14th and 16th, respectively, in the 3,000 steeplechase. Conley's time of 10:37.77 was a personal record.

Terrance Artrip and Austin Stone led the Cavs at the HSU Invitational. Artrip placed eighth in the discus with a toss of 39.88 meters, while Stone was fifth in the shot put with a throw of 13.45 meters.

St. Gregory's returns to action Friday at the Sooner Athletic Conference Championship meet, which will be hosted in Shawnee.
