ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Kaitlin Hampton posted a pair of top three finishes, and Erica Heon moved closer to a national standard as St. Gregory's completed competition in the Henderson State Invitational Saturday. The Cavaliers finished fourth as a team.

Hampton, a sophomore from Shawnee, finished third in the 200-yard freestyle finals with a time of 2:16.69. She followed that with a third-place finish in the consolation round of the 100-yard freestyle. Hampton's time was 1:00.15 in that event – about two seconds slower than the standard.

Heon inched closer to a national standard in the 50-yard freestyle finals with a time of 27.7 – 1.2 seconds off the standard. That earned 11 team points for the Cavs, who finished with 41 overall.

St. Gregory's resumes competition November 14 at the UTPB-McMurry Tri-Meet in Abilene, Texas. The Cavs take part in the UTPB-Wayland Baptist Tri-Meet November 15 in Midland, Texas.
