Into her third year at SGU, Daniella Rivera has become one of the volleyball team's best defenders. She was third on the team in 2011 with 138 digs, fourth on the team last season with 209 digs and, through 11 games this season, leads the team with 129 digs - well on pace for a career high. Her 19 digs against Hillsdale were a season high and four off her career best.

At Valley Vista High School, Rivera helped her team to a 22-9 record her senior season. She was named All-Region Honorable Mention, All-Academic (4 years), and District Player of the Month for her efforts.
