CHICKASHA – Tara Nall had two home runs and seven runs batted in, and No. 15-ranked St. Gregory's completed a series sweep of USAO Sunday at Bill Smith Ballpark. The third baseman from El Reno had three hits and three RBIs in the Cavaliers' 8-2 win in the opener before belting a grand slam in her team's 8-0 run-rule victory in the nightcap. The Cavs erupted for 25 hits between the two games.

SGU (30-7, 11-5 SAC) has won seven straight and 11 of its last 12 games. The Cavs moved one game behind No. 6-ranked Oklahoma City for second place in the Sooner Athletic Conference standings. SGU and OCU face off in home-and-home doubleheaders this week.

Sunday belonged to Nall, as the senior got the day's scoring started with a solo home run in the second inning of Game 1. It was 3-1 Cavs in the fifth when Nall struck again, this time with a two-RBI double to right-center to make it a four-run advantage.

Melanie Gladden and Danielle Bacon added run-scoring singles in the sixth to cap the scoring for the visitors.

Devon Frazier improved to 16-3, going 6-2/3 for the win. She gave up two runs on 10 hits and struck out one. Otelia Ramirez was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, while Gladden, Caitlin O'Hagan and Allison Conyers had two hits each.

A six-run third inning was the difference in Game 2. After RBI singles from Whitney Anderson and O'Hagan, Nall put the game away with a grand slam – her eighth home run of the season. Gladden and Anderson had three hits each to lead all players in the nightcap.

Sierra Gallego blanked the Drovers to run her record to 10-2. The junior from Orange, Calif., scattered five hits in five innings.

SGU entertains OCU Tuesday with second place in the conference on the line. The first pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the SGU Softball Complex. The Cavs and Stars are scheduled to play in Oklahoma City on Thursday.
