SHAWNEE – St. Gregory's and Oklahoma Baptist took turns routing each other Monday at the Ballfields at Firelake. The No. 13-ranked Cavaliers easily took the opener, 13-0, before falling to the Lady Bison in the nightcap, 9-0. The doubleheader was rescheduled from Saturday due to wet field conditions.

SGU took advantage of OBU miscues and built a large lead early in Game 1. The Cavs jumped out to a 4-0 advantage in the first on only two hits. The Lady Bison committed two errors in the opening frame, walked one batter and hit one batter. Caitlin O'Hagan had one of the two hits in the inning – a two-RBI double to right-center.

The first five Cavs to bat in the second scored, reaching on a bunt single, two walks, an error and Whitney Anderson's 10th home run of the season – a grand slam that pushed the lead to 9-0.

SGU scored four more in the fourth inning – all coming with two outs. Callie Pacheco, Jordan Walters, Allison Conyers and Melanie Gladden each had RBI singles in the frame.

Devon Frazier picked up her 18th win of the season, giving up two hits in three scoreless innings.

OBU used a huge third inning to take Game 2. The visitors scored all nine of their runs and produced all but two of their hits in the frame. Up 3-0 with two outs in the inning, the Lady Bison scored a run on an unsuccessful fielder's choice, and had then had their inning extended on Conyers' misplayed grounder.

That came back to bite the Cavs, as OBU's next batter – Kasey Maddox – hit a grand slam over the center-field fence. That was more than enough support for Lady Bison starter Noelle McDowell, who limited the home team to only two hits in five innings.

Frazier (18-4) suffered the loss, giving up four runs on seven hits in 2-1/3 innings. Anderson and Pacheco had the Cavs' only hits in the nightcap.

SGU (32-13, 13-11 SAC) returns to action Friday at the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament in Oklahoma City against an opponent to be determined. The Cavs finished the regular season third in the SAC standings.
