SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – St. Gregory's University guard Leticia Silva scored a career-high 33 points, leading the Cavaliers to a 77-69 win over John Brown Saturday at Bill George Arena. The Cavs sprinted out to a 13-3 lead only four minutes in after making four of their first five from the field. The visitors responded, however, going on a 15-3 run over the next five minutes to extend the advantage to 14. Silva had eight points during that stretch.

It was a 10-point lead with 12:54 left when the home team made its final push. JBU scored 11 of the game's next 16 points to cut it to four with just under seven minutes left. It was 65-60 at the 3:29 mark when the Cavs finally put the game away. After four quick points from Silva and a bucket in the lane by Lucas, the lead was back to 11 and the game in hand for the Cavs.
